With over 35 years of experience working for the U.S. Federal Government, U.S. Congress, trade associations, NGOs, private companies and consulting firms, Audrey has deep experience in issues management and public and regulatory policy and issues advocacy. Audrey’s work at A2 Strategies primarily focuses on the issues related the animal protein sector and relevant inputs and markets. Recent engagements include: Farm Bill advocacy, appropriations and government funding pursuit, food labeling, animal health/welfare practices and products, food safety and security, including animal diseases such as African Swine Fever. Prior to A2 Strategies, Audrey spent 13 years with the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), serving as Vice President of Domestic Public Policy from 2009 to 2015, where she led the U.S. pork industry’s domestic public policy programming. Prior to NPPC, Audrey served as the Washington Director for the Midwestern Governors Association, representing 13 Governors on regional policy issues such as the 2002 Farm Bill, energy policy, and international trade. Early in her career, Audrey was awarded a Ford Motor Company Congressional Fellowship and served as an Import Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce enforcing Voluntary Restraint Agreements on steel and machine tools, and semiconductors.
