Barry Brokaw is Partner and President of Sacramento Advocates with 46 years of experience working in and around California state politics, 27 of which he has spent representing clients’ interests at the California State Capitol with Sacramento Advocates. Barry currently represents some of the most widely recognizable corporations, trade associations and non-profits, including Microsoft, Western Union, and Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Barry maintains close relationships with state legislators of both parties, the state’s Constitutional Officers, as well as numerous department and agency leaders and their staff. Prior to Sacramento Advocates, Barry worked for Assemblyman and later State Senator Dan Boatwright (D-CA) for nearly 18 years. During this time, Barry served as a Committee Consultant and Chief of Staff, overseeing the operations of the Revenue and Taxation Committees in both houses of the Legislature, the Ways and Means Committee, and the Senate Appropriations Committee, among others. Barry is regularly recognized by California media for his influence in California state politics. He is often regarded as an influential figure in California state politics.
