John J. Federico, JD is the President and Chief Lobbyist of Federico // Duerst Consulting.  John is an attorney and an experienced government affairs and public relations consultant, and his advocacy efforts on behalf of various interests require him to work collaboratively with key members of the Kansas Legislature, the Governor’s office, and the Kansas Congressional delegation on a daily basis. John has represented a variety of Fortune 500 companies, such as Microsoft, General Motors, and Humana as well as smaller companies and Kansas-based associations. For the last 13 years, John has served as the Executive Director of the Leadership Kansas Program, the second oldest statewide leadership development program in the country. The Leadership Kansas network boasts of over 1,400 alumni representing the “who’s-who” of Kansas politics, business, education, and community development leaders from across the state. John earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island, and his law degree from the Washburn University School of Law.
