Tracey Schmitt is the Founder of Matador and is experienced in counseling business leaders, CEOs, and key opinion leaders at the intersection of policy, government relations, and public relations. Tracey has over two decades of experience developing winning strategies for high profile leaders in the public, private, and political sectors, including through work with the White House and three presidential campaigns. Tracey began her career in politics and remained on the front lines throughout the Bush Administration as a Spokeswoman for the Bush Cheney re-election campaign and Press Secretary at the Republican National Committee. She later served as Deputy Communications Director for John McCain’s 2008 Presidential campaign and as Senior Vice President of Global Public Affairs at Emergent BioSolutions, where she led an award-winning team for nearly a decade which included Corporate and Investor Communications, Crisis Management, & Corporate Social Responsibility. Tracey is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism.
